Adding a New Template

Please Note: In the training video, this module may be referred to as “Specifications,” which was its previous name. The content is still accurate, but depending on when you joined Isolocity, you may now see it labeled as “Templates.”

Step #1

Click "Templates"

Step #2

Click "Create Template"

Step #3

Complete the "Identification" section by completing the following fields:

• Template Name
• Template ID/Number
• Revision Level
• Revision Date
• Notes

Please do not link a Product/Activity ID directly to a template. This is a legacy feature. Instead, link the template to the Part, Activity, or Equipment within its corresponding module.

Step #4

Add a characteristic to the template by entering:

• Characteristic
• Operation
• Tolerance

Select whether the characteristic is optional or requires a signature. 

Step #5

Click "Save" to add the characteristic.

Step #6

Click "Add New Template" to save your progress.

Step #7

Repeat Steps 4 & 5 until all characteristics are added.

Step #8

Click "Approved" to use the template in the Inspection modules.
