QUESTION: What is the difference between "Parts Upload" and  "Materials Upload" spreadsheet?


ANSWER:  The "Parts Upload" spreadsheet is used to add all parts (both finished products and raw materials) that your organization uses.  For example, if I was a business that made cookies some parts I may have are eggs, flour, sugar, butter, milk, chocolate chips, chocolate chip cookie and I would therefore list all of these in the "Parts Upload" spreadsheet.  The "Materials Upload" spreadsheet is used to associate your bill of materials (essentially your recipes).  Using the cookie example, I would have a chocolate chip cookie as my finished product with the measurements of eggs, flour, sugar, butter, and milk added as the materials.
