Creating Hands-On Training in Isolocity
This guide outlines how to create and manage hands-on training in Isolocity when the training is not associated with control documentation. It assumes a test or checklist has already been created.
Step 1: Create a Training Type
Navigate to Training Manager > Training Programs > Manage Training Types.
Click Create Training Type.
Enter the name of your training type (e.g., “Hands-On Training”).
Training types can be inactivated at any time if no longer needed.
Step 2: Set Up Employee Groups
Go to Training Manager > Employee Groups > Create Employee Group.
Enter a name for the group (e.g., “Sanitation”).
Optionally add a Review Timeline to reassess the group periodically.
Click Create, then assign applicable employees to the group.
Users can belong to multiple groups.
Groups are often set by department or job title.
Step 3: Create the Training Program
Once you’ve created a test or checklist:
Create a training program.
Associate relevant Employee Groups (e.g., “Quality Assurance”) to the training.
This ensures appropriate training appears during employee onboarding.
For more detailed steps on creating tests and checklists, refer to the related videos.
Step 4: Assign Training to Employees
Go to Training Manager > Training Activities > Create Training Activity.
Select the appropriate training program (e.g., “Finished Product Test”).
Define:
Start Date: When training begins.
Completion Date: Deadline for completing the training.
Repeat Frequency: (e.g., every 12 months).
Supervisor: Will receive results via email after training completion.
Additional Files: Upload any supporting documentation.
Click Create Training Activity.
Training will be assigned to the selected employee group.
Users will receive an email (if enabled) and see the training on their dashboard.
Note: It may take a few minutes to load all employees into the training activity. Refresh the page if needed.
Step 5: Monitor Training Activity
View a list of assigned employees and training status, scores, and due dates.
Download:
PDF Report: View user answers.
CSV Reports:
Training Database Download: Results for all training versions.
Training Matrix Export: Results for only the current approved revision.
Step 6: Manage Training via Employee Profiles
Navigate to Training Manager > Employee Manager.
Click on an employee to view:
Profile Information (auto-created when added in User Manager).
Test & Checklist History.
Export employee-specific training history as PDF.
Add the employee to a group and click Save to trigger the Training Wizard.
The wizard allows you to assign all applicable training and set end dates.
You can also add:
Date of Birth
Phone Number
Address
Position
Notes
Review Timeline
Step 7: Adjust Admin Settings
Admins can configure settings under Profile Picture > Team Settings.
You can enable e-signature on training completion.
Users will enter their username and password to complete training.
Step 8: End-User Experience
Log in as an employee-level user.
On the dashboard, the assigned training appears with a green arrow.
Click the arrow to begin.
Complete the test or checklist.
Resource material (if uploaded) is available at the bottom of the screen.
Reminder Notifications: Users receive automated reminders 1 week and 1 day before the training completion deadline.
